Dr. Michael Catanach is a fully qualified and Australian trained Orthopaedic Surgeon. After completing his medical degree at Sydney University in 2011, he moved to Newcastle and completed his specialist Orthopaedic training with John Hunter Hospital, the busiest major trauma centre in New South Wales.
Dr Catanach’s passion has always been hand surgery. As such, following his training, he has set up practice in Newcastle, where he is now happy to call home. His office is located in the specialist centre across from Lake Macquarie Private Hospital and he operates at both Lake Macquarie and Ramsay Surgical Centre Charlestown.
Michael is regularly involved in teaching medical students and junior doctors anatomy and surgical techniques.
